The weather was supposed to be warm and sunny, but when we got out of our cars on Saturday morning to start off the BSCO's Field Test we were hit with a blast of frigid cold air. Most of us weren't prepared for this, so we layered up with whatever could be found. Lighting a bonfire that lasted most of the day really helped.
The weather, however, didn't deter the dogs and their handlers. Over the two days we had 43 dogs entered in the test that was held for the first time on the property of Frank Ferrara in Amaranth, west of Orangeville. The property allows a panoramic view of the test route and it was wonderful to be able to watch the dogs work.
